Whats up bros, remember in the olden days, 90s 2000s, even in the start of the 2010s, there were many bloggers, many with their own websites. They wrote about whatever they were doing and gave their opinions and thoughts about things and when you wanted to know what they were doing you opened their website to share the joy with them. That was the era of web 1.
Nowadays Google can kill the apps you use because they just decided that or the person you follow got their account hacked or banned and its just not the same as what it used to be. Even when we use these great services of web 2.0 which make our life a lot easier when we just hit the upload button and some background magic makes it happen without any code or hassle, we are bound by many things, most notably the “terms of service” that no one really knows what they are when they get banned and can do nothing about it. We have seen many creators come and go but we don’t think that will happen to us, maybe they got banned but we wont, right? Maybe the service they use got shut down but the one we use wont, right? Why is it that we feel that it wont be us next? because it might be.
So what can we do about it? My answer is, a website, a simple domain name that costs you 12$ a year or even less, can be the place you use for everything. From referring your fans to it, to having all your links and platforms to the latest updates. This is true freedom in my opinion.
You can even send emails from your domain and have freedom on your emails and so on. You can host many services, you can sell things and make a store. All with your own terms of service, no one can force you to do something you don’t want. Or behave in a way you don’t want to behave. You are not bound by anything almost. Its the safest way to exist nowadays with the age of web 2.0.
So get yourself a website my friend. Because you might need it if you are creating things, weather they are videos or blogs or anything you want to create. I will make a video showing you how to make a website and maintain in the simplest way possible. you don’t need any coding experience or anything like that.
Thank you for your support.
